Eclipse

This version of ‘Eclipse’ was commissioned for art consultancy ArtLink who were given the brief by the client of zero degree curation, essentially ArtLink’s footprint had to disappear entirely. The art collection had to create the illusion of a wealthy gentleman’s personal art collection, conveying a personal passion for art that has been handpicked and collected over a lifetime.

Thomas was incredibly pleased to be commissioned this work at an fairly early stage in his professional career. The original design of ‘Eclipse’ was mounted differently to this, ArtLink requested the design be rotated 90 degrees and be mounted ‘laying down’. The sculpture is a limited edition casting in silicone bronze, finished with a mirror polish and a antique patina, mounted on a solid walnut plinth.
